it's interesting on many levels. for one, it's got some very poignant lyrics. and for another, it's nice to see pink in a context outside of pop songs.

besides getting rejected for giving blood *not* for being iron deficient, but for going to cancun and visiting the mayan ruins. what the hell??

it's 1:14 am. i can't seem to sleep lately. it's funny...you never seem to miss sleep until it fully eludes you. then that's all you can think about.

it's also funny how i spend half my day trying to get my brain to turn on......so i can focus on chemistry.......then i get home and spend the rest of the night trying to turn my brain off so i can get some sleep.........

and i'm sure that somewhere in there murphy's law is coming into play. i'm not sure how. but trust me, it's there. = )




(k less sleep-deprivation-induced ramblings...more coherent thoughts to come......)

oh, and yes i do realize that 1:14 am isn't exactly the latest to be up.......but you do have to remember that from 8 am until 7 pm i was on campus teaching pre-meds about addtions to pi bonds and sweet mechanisms like ozonolysis. wheeeeee!

Happy b-day to my favorite nephew!!

unless i'm trapped in a time warp (which is entirely possible), it's May 1st. And that means it's my nephew's 1st birthday today!! (which makes it his golden birthday, i think) So...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DECLAN!!!

i wanted to show off how cute he is, so i had to post a picture. and isn't he adorable??? i know he is. and you wanna know something else? somewhere in there, i share some of those cuteness genes. somewhere. = )

and i promised some pictures from disneyland, so here's some of my favorites: (and, with the exception of the one of laura, these were all taken by jeff):

this is dylan and bo. and i absolutely love how dylan and bo have almost the exact same expression in this photo. it cracks me up...

laura *really* likes apples. (and i took this one....can't you tell, since i only choose serious subjects for my photography??)



we went on splash mountain at 9:21pm, when it was freezing out. which was a really good idea, since jeff and i were both sick. we were trying to decide how to pose while waiting, and we ended up going with a "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" thing. which kind of worked. the look on both holly and laura's faces made the photo. that, and jeff's spot-on monkey impersonation. (see? i told you he made a cute monkey)





that's it for now. maybe more photos after next weekend. i was sick all weekend, so i didn't get to go out and do anything interesting. oh, but i did take another cumulative exam. so perhaps this will be my last, but i'll have to wait and see. you don't mind keeping your fingers crossed for me until then, do you?? = )
